Topic: Appliqué the easy Way.  Use your embroidery unit to create perfect appliqué stitches, as you appliqué darling Christmas motifs.              
         
Supplies: 

• Your machine and embroidery unit with large oval hoop, embroidery foot and bobbin case
• Large Oval Hoop  and template
• Smooth Touch Tear Away stabilizer.
• Isacord Embroidery thread :  Christmas red & 3 shades of green
• Bobbin wound with bobbin fill
• Lunch Box Quilts Appliqué Designs (Cost $ 40.00) If you do not wish to purchase the designs, a design will provided for your use in class.
• Basic sewing supplies, especially scissors, water marker.
• Christmas plaid or poka dot tea towel (Cost $3.50)

 

Pre Class preparation: 

• Have the Holly Leaf design down loaded from the Lunch Box Quilt CD onto your machine, computer or your personal design stick, ready to stitch out. 

If you are “borrowing” a design for class we will have it ready for you to transfer to your machine.

Topic:  Curly-toed Stocking
Embellish a printed fabric to transform it from pretty to spectacular, then create this stocking from your embellished fabric.  It features a ruffled cuff.  You will learn to work with metallic threads, alter and store decorative stitch motifs, and use a ruffler.
Equipment:

• Your Bernina machine and all basic feet and accessories
• Ruffler attachment - bring one if you own one, otherwise use ours
• Foot # 37, 39 or 39C, #10.
• Sz. 90  topstitch needle, 
• Yenmet Gold thread
•  Neutral Cotton thread
• Bobbin wound with neutral cotton thread
• Two pieces of Soft Touch Tear away stabilizer each 16” X 22”
• scissors
• Water marker

Pre class preparation 
 Please come to class with all your fabrics cut.  There is not enough time or space to cut in class.  Cut out pieces as follows.
